  • Interested Party means anyone who subscribes for our newsletter.
  • User means anyone who registers for the Services.
  • Terms of Use means Terms of Use of Services as available from the Website.

(2) Why do we process your data (purpose and legal basis) and what personal details are involved:

(A) To provide our Services: We process your personal data in order to fulfill our contractual obligations to you under the Terms of Use. In particular, we display your personal data on the Website according to your choice and we connect you with other Users. We also verify whether you are registered according to the Terms of Use and what functions you are entitled to. This is the fulfillment of the contract between you and us. For this purpose, we may use data you have provided to us or will provide in the future when registering to  or using the Services, in particular your name, sex, age, place of residence, hobbies and matchmaking preferences. We do not intentionally process special categories of you personal data (so called sensitive personal data), such as information about your health, nationality, religion or sexual preference without your consent. If you include such data in your profile and elect to publish them, it means that you are instructing us to publish these data according to your election and that you expressly consent with us processing such personal data for this limited purpose. You can recall such consent anytime by updating your profile. 

(B) To send news and updates: If you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will occasionally send you a newsletter about our Services to fulfill your order. In case you have registered on the Website and have not refused receiving newsletters about our Services, we may occasionally send you such newsletter because it is our legitimate interest. You can unsubscribe from newsletters anytime, as stated below.

(C) To protect our rights. We can verify whether you as a User don’t violate the Terms of Use. If you do so we can defend our rights. Also after you cancel your registration, we may need your information to claim or protect our rights. Such purpose is our legitimate interest. We may use data you have provided to us or will provide in the future by registering to the Services and data about your Services usage. This may in particular include your name, contact details and information about your Service usage.

(3) Who works with your personal data?

We as data controller, and our suppliers of various services, in particular the IT services, as data processors.

(4) For how long do we process your personal data?

Data referred to in (A) - service provision - will be processed during your registration.

Data referred to in (B) - sending newsletters - will be processed until you reject the newsletters.

Data referred to in (C) - on the protection of our rights - will be processed until 5 years after the end of your registration. 

(5) Where are the personal data processed?

We process your data within EU and USA. If we transfer the personal data to other parties outside EU, the date will be safeguarded under the standard clauses or, if transferred into USA, under the Privacy Shield arrangement. (6) Which rights and remedies are available with regard to the processing?

Your rights

You have various rights under data protection laws: To the extent provided for under the applicable data protection laws, in particular GDPR, you may request access to your data from us (information about what your specific data we process and how do we work with them), you may request restriction of the processing your data (it means, that we do not delete the data but we will not work with them) you may request data deletion (always if the legal conditions are met) and rectification (if some of your data are inaccurate) and you also have the right to object to the processing and to exercise your right to data portability. If you believe that we are violating legal rules by processing your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a national supervisory authority.

Objections against processing: If you don’t want us to use your data for sending you the newsletters, you may refuse it. You can either use an unsubscribe link in footer of each newsletter, or you can send us an objection by email or letter. If you refuse such processing, we will stop sending you newsletters. You may also refuse other processing based on legitimate interest and we will limit them, unless we prove serious and qualified legitimate reason for the processing.
